    North Little Rock Public Library System is currently in search of a dedicated Adult Community Educator to join its Adult Department. As an Adult Community Educator, you will play a vital role in engaging and assisting adult library users, possessing a strong understanding of library automation systems, and contributing to the day-to-day operations of the Adult Department. Effective communication, organizational skills, and adaptability are key attributes for success in this position. Understanding and addressing the unique needs of adult patrons is crucial, with experience in public service preferred.

    The position offers a competitive initial salary, ranging from $16 to $30 per hour or an annual salary of $33,280 to $62,400, based on education and experience.     Teen Community Educator- Full Time

    The North Little Rock Public Library System is seeking a dedicated Community Educator for The Loft. The role involves engaging and assisting young library users aged 12-18, providing excellent customer service, and developing and facilitating library events and programs for this age range. The ideal candidate will have a Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) or equivalent from an ALA-accredited institution, or a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of three years of related experience. Candidates who do not meet these educational ideals, but who possess at least 5 years of experience working directly with teens in a service and/or educational setting are also invited to apply. The Community Educator's primary duties include program development, outreach to schools and local organizations, building connections with patrons and supporting an atmosphere of support and safety in the Loft. Other duties include checking materials in and out, shelving, and maintaining the cleanliness of the Loft. The role requires effective communication, organizational and problem-solving skills, and the ability to adapt quickly to new information. The candidate should understand and meet the unique developmental needs of patrons ages 12-18 and have experience working with this demographic. Physical demands include bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, and standing for prolonged periods.     ELECTRONIC RESOURCES LIBRARIAN — The Central Arkansas Library System is seeking a full-time (40 hours/week) Electronic Resources Librarian in its Information Service Department. Reporting to the Information Services Department Manager, the Electronic Resources Librarian works collaboratively in a team environment to manage the library's electronic resources. The librarian oversees selection and activation of resources, setting up vendors as access providers, and verifying and monitoring electronic content. The librarian plays a lead role in troubleshooting access. Additionally, the librarian manages bibliographic access to electronic resources, oversees trials of new resources, and works with digital literacy and communications staff to maximize patron usage of these resources. Master's degree in library science, or equivalent library experience, required.     INFORMATION SERVICES DEPARTMENT MANAGER – The Central Arkansas Library System is seeking a full time (40 hours/week) Information Services Department Manager. The Information Services Department Manager reports to the Head of the Main Library and oversees the work of several divisions within the department, including Public Computer Lab, Interlibrary Loan, Periodicals, Phone/Chat Reference Service, and Downloadable Library support. The successful candidate will be excited by the challenge of working in the changing environment of reference services, have a deep commitment to providing excellent service and the ability to offer strong leadership to a talented and diverse team, and be open to the possibilities that new technologies and methods can offer. Candidates must possess strong customer-service skills, strong problem-solving skills, an easy-going nature, and enthusiasm for working with diverse patrons and staff. An ideal candidate will be flexible, team-oriented, and have an open and optimistic attitude.     Lyon College is a dynamic, expanding institution seeking a full-time Resource Sharing Librarian to serve in its Mabee-Simpson Library (MSL). As the college expands into graduate education as well as the establishment of the first and only dental and veterinary schools in the state, the MSL will provide key services to students, staff, faculty, and community members.

    Reporting to the Director of the Library, the Resource Sharing Librarian coordinates and supervises public services (including reference, interlibrary loan, and circulation services); conducts bibliographic instruction; manages the ContentDM-based Lyon College digital archives; and participates in collection development. This position also assists with the creation of online research guides, video tutorials, and conducts library outreach.

    Required Qualifications: master’s degree in Library Science from an ALA accredited post-secondary institution; exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills; broad knowledge in all varieties of social media; and proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software.

    Preferred Qualifications: work experience in an academic library; experience with all facets of interlibrary loan; acquaintance with and use of OCLC’s WorldShare integrated library system; a second master’s degree; and some experience with open educational resources (OERs).

    The position is available immediately and will remain open until filled. This is a twelve-month appointment. The salary range is $35,000 to $45,000, depending upon experience.

    LIBRARY DIRECTOR POSITION OPEN DIRECTOR OF PHILLIPS-LEE-MONROE REGIONAL LIBRARY BOARD/PHILLIPS COUNTY LIBRARY Salary-Commensurate with Experience Qualifications: Master of Library Science Degree from an institution accredited by the American Library Association Job Description: The selected individual will supervise all operations and be responsible for program development at the Phillips County Library, which has a main library and two branch libraries, and report to its board of trustees. The individual will also handle the business operations of the Phillips-Lee-Monroe Regional Library and offer technical and planning assistance to the Directors of the Monroe County and Lee County Libraries with libraries in Clarendon and Marianna and will also report to the Phillips-Lee-Monroe Regional Library Board. Additional duties will include, but not be limited to, making sure the Phillips County Library remains in compliance with Arkansas law and providing assistance in this area to the Monroe and Lee County Libraries along with staying abreast of current trends in public library programming and making recommendations to the Phillips County Library Board and Phillips-Lee-Monroe Regional Library Board.
